The North Dakota Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators (NDBOENHA) has approved the following colleges and programs for their health management curricula with practicums recognized as part of the Administrator Residency (AIT) program:

  • Concordia College, Moorhead, MN: Traditional four-year program with a bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration with a focus in Long Term Care. This program is accredited by the National Association of Boards for Long Term Care Administrators (NAB) and is currently applying for HSE approval.
  • Minnesota State University, Moorhead, MN: Minnesota State University Moorhead - offers a online/hybrid four-year program with a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management and Leadership with a focus in long-term care and an online graduate MHA program with long-term care emphasis, fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Minnesota State University Moorhead is the only university in the MinnState system of colleges and universities approved by ND BENHA and MN BELTSS.
  • University of Minnesota, Crookston, MN: Offers a Bachelorette degree in Health Management. This program is accredited by the National Association of Boards for Long Term Care Administrators (NAB) and meets the standards for the Health Services Executive (HSE) student eligibility.
  • University of South Dakota, Vermilion, SD: Offers a traditional four-year program leaning to a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration with a focus on Long Term Care.
  • Good Samaritan Society Administrator in Training Program: Is an approved AIT program.
